Janessa is a Financial Analyst in TELUS's Financial Management Development Program (FMDP), currently in her first rotation with the Internal Audit team. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and returned to UBC to complete her Diploma in Accounting and pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Her career path took an interesting turn after working in the Ministry of Finance's Mineral, Oil and Gas Revenue branch, where she discovered her passion for accounting and financial analysis. This experience inspired her to pursue further education and a career in accounting and finance at TELUS. Beyond her professional endeavors, Janessa was a founding member of Campus Canines, a service dog raising club at UBC. She's passionate about making an impact through community initiatives and philanthropy. In her downtime, Janessa enjoys anything related to food and drinks, sports, music, and traveling.
